About Me
Since 2015, I've had the privilege of caring for cats throughout the East Bay, but this journey really began with my first cat, Mama. She sparked a lifelong love of cats and a curiosity about how they think, communicate, and experience the world. The more I learned, the more I realized that every cat has their own personality, preferences, and way of feeling safe.
That passion eventually became Uncle Jay Cat Sits.
From the beginning, I wanted to create something different from the large pet-sitting apps. I wanted families to know exactly who was walking through their front door every day. Someone who would learn their cat's routines, notice the little changes, celebrate their quirks, and care for them as if they were my own.
When you hire Uncle Jay Cat Sits, you'll always work directly with me. Your cat won't have to adjust to different sitters or unfamiliar faces. Building trust takes time, especially with cats, and I believe consistency makes all the difference.
I'm a Fear Free Certified Professional, as well as certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. Those certifications give me the skills to safely care for everything from healthy kittens to senior cats, those with medical needs, and even cats receiving hospice care. Just as important, they reinforce my commitment to caring for every cat with patience, kindness, and respect for who they are.
Over the years, I've learned that cat sitting is about much more than filling food bowls and scooping litter boxes. It's about keeping routines familiar, reducing stress while you're away, and making sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best—their own home.
Nearly a decade later, that mission hasn't changed. Every visit is personal. Every cat is treated like family. And every client can leave home knowing their beloved companion is in caring, experienced hands. 🐾
